Sound and movement merge to become a new art form. Classical musicians study contemporary dance to communicate with the audience both visually and acoustically. Music becomes visible and opens new horizons in the field of performing arts interpretations. Remembering ourselves as jesters and minstrels we go back to the future of classical music. Irina Sopova has been involved in several stagins by Instrumental-Physical Theatre Company, blending live music-making and contemporary dance. Among them are “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi (choreographer: Alexandra Rudik), “Quartet №8” by Dmitry Shostakovich (choreographer: Alexander Frolov), “Das Mädchen und Der Tod” by Franz Schubert (choreographer: Vladimir Varnava).
